In the first nine months of 2020, 26 cruises of foreign ships were realized In the period from January to September 2020, the number of foreign cruise ships in Croatian seaports decreased by 83,9% compared to the same period in 2019 due to the negative impact of the spread of the COVID-19 virus pandemic, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics ). The number of passengers on these ships compared to the same period in 2019 is lower by 99,5%. After the complete absence of cruises of foreign ships on the Croatian Adriatic in the period from April to June 2020, in the period from July to September 2020, four foreign cruise ships arrived, which made 11 cruises with 401 passengers and a total of 77 days in Croatia. In the period from January to September 2020, 10 foreign cruise ships entered Croatian seaports, which made 26 cruises. There were 4 passengers on these ships, who stayed in Croatia for 138 days. In the first nine months of 2020, the number of trips of foreign cruise ships decreased by 95,4% and the number of days spent by ships on the Croatian Adriatic by 89,1% compared to the same period in 2019. Out of a total of 26 cruises, 84,6% of trips were realized in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, while the remaining 15,4% of trips were realized in Istria County.
